Almaty Population increased from 1.247.900 to 1.275.800 people in 9 months of 2006


It means that officially Almaty in October 2006 has 27.900 more inhabitants than in January 2006.

Plus according to statistics 17.000 illigal immigrants had been legalised in Almaty since the new law is out now.


So Almaty just officially in 9 month has got 45.900 inhabitants more, and it is just officially.


A year ago the Mayor of Almaty City Mr.Tasmagambetov announsed that the population of Almaty during summer period is around 1.800.000 people
